ACI Lebanon Golden Jubilee Celebrated on 1st of September 2014
On the 1st of September 2014, 430 guests, members of the local banks, financial institutions, brokerage firms and from BDL Management, gathered at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beirut to attend the Grand Celebration Program hosted by ACI Lebanon on the occasion of its Golden Jubilee, under the patronage of His Excellency Mr. Riad Salamé, Governor of Banque du Liban and Honorary President of ACI Lebanon.
The event, widely covered by the local media, welcomed guests to a 1.5 hour conference which was given by the international and local prominent Economists, H.E. Mr. Demianos Kattar, Mr. Kelvin Tay from UBS and Mr. Apostolos Bantis from Commerzbank who shared insights on issues revolving around the prospects of the local and international economy in addition to their expectations on the price trends in different asset classes.
Following the conference, attendees got the opportunity to visit sponsors’ booths while enjoying a drink at the welcome reception before heading to the dinner hall.
Guests then watched a short footage recounting ACI Lebanon’s history, accomplishments and achievements during the past 50 years then listened to eloquent speeches given by H.E. Mr. Riad Salamé, as well as Mr. Naji Echo and Mr. Marshall Bailey, the respective Presidents of ACI Lebanon and ACI International.
During their speeches, Governor Salamé highlighted the stable economic and monetary situation in Lebanon while Messrs. Echo and Bailey stressed the achievements of ACI Lebanon, namely among others, being the largest FMA in the Arab world with its number of members reaching 385, in addition to attracting many traders to its training courses.
Then, guests relished the tasty dinner while Jubilee trophies were being bestowed on BDL governor as well as founders and former presidents of the Association.
